PowerNotify
sends subscribers alerts that supplement other information sources
such as television and radio media, web broadcasts, or condensed
web information such as WAP. The alert is a short message typically
indicating an upcoming event about which the subscriber may wish
to receive additional information. These messages are not a distilled
web page, but a few words or short sentence tailored for each subscriber.
One example of this product is the company's original IPONotify
service. Customers choose one or more communication devices to receive
alerts. They also choose from categories of underwriters about which
they want immediate information on pending IPOs. When information
about a new IPO becomes available, IPONotify customers are immediately
given a 'heads up'. Subscribers appreciate this service because
the alert gives them a warning of a client company's future broadcast;
a specific category or keyword about which they have already expressed
an interest. The subscribers will often have time to get to the
company's broadcast source, whether computer, TV, or radio, before
the news event is broadcast. Client companies benefit from this
service because the alerts bring subscribers back to the client
company who wish to obtain more detailed information on the alert.
In many cases, this will generate increased advertising revenues.
The alerts additionally make the client company more valuable to
the subscriber by keeping him and her well informed over specific
chosen topics.
PowerNotify
is the premier choice not only because it is the first, because
it is based upon an existing proven system, but because its entire
design is scalable from a system notifying dozens of users to one
notifying tens of thousands of users. PowerNotify's hardware, Internet,
and communications-intensive system has been designed to provide
a minimal response time to thousands of subscribers.
